The Montenegro Capital Market Authority reported that its chair, Željko Drinčić, attended the Central and Eastern European Forum (CEE Forum) in Vienna on 14–15 January 2025, joining panels and discussions on current economic and financial topics relevant to capital market development. Discussions focused on aligning the capital market legislative framework with European standards, regional prospects for the fund industry and its role in attracting investment, the development of ESG bonds as a sustainable finance tool, and the reconstruction and renewal of regional economies including Ukraine. Drinčić also held bilateral meetings with banks, funds and regulators, covering cooperation in financial markets, transparency and the implementation of best practices in line with European standards, with the authority indicating it will continue work on regulatory alignment and the development of innovative instruments supporting sustainability and long-term growth.
