The National Bank of Serbia published April 2026 operating data for its domestic payment systems, showing that 18.8 million payments were processed across its RTGS and clearing systems over 20 working days. RTGS handled 17.9 million payments, or 95.1% of the total, while the clearing system handled 0.9 million, or 4.9%. Transaction values were concentrated in RTGS at RSD 16,639.0 billion, compared with RSD 25.9 billion in the clearing system, which represented 0.16% of total value. Average daily volumes were 942,267 payments overall, comprising 895,727 in RTGS and 46,539 in the clearing system. Average daily values were RSD 832.0 billion in RTGS and RSD 1.3 billion in the clearing system. Across 11,250 production minutes, downtime in the RTGS and clearing systems totaled 87 minutes, leaving availability at 99.2%. The central bank also reported EUR 324,677,328.09 of transactions in its interbank foreign exchange clearing system and its international foreign exchange clearing system. The international foreign exchange clearing system has 21 participants. Downtime in those foreign exchange systems totaled 72 minutes, resulting in 99.1% availability.
