The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo has integrated two of its services into the state eKosova platform, enabling citizens to verify their financial accounts and obtain individual credit reports online at no cost. It also agreed a system linkage with the Kosovo Pension Savings Fund to support more efficient withdrawals of pension savings by enabling direct validation of citizens’ accounts. Following a memorandum of cooperation with the Information Society Agency and related technical developments, eKosova users can check the accounts recorded in the Register of Accounts (RLLB), including account status, and use this information for personal administrative needs. Users can also generate an individual credit report directly from the platform via the Kosovo Credit Register (RKK), removing the need to request it in person from the central bank; access requires an eKosova profile with an advanced security level using two-factor authentication. Separately, the memorandum with the Kosovo Pension Savings Fund allows direct account validation for retirees, replacing traditional bank confirmations and aiming to eliminate associated delays. The central bank also noted ongoing work with international partners on further technical and operational enhancements intended to reduce costs and administrative burden and improve efficiency and transparency, building on recent initiatives such as its Financial Services Comparison Platform.
