Mexico’s National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) has revoked the authorization previously granted to Consejo de Asistencia al Microemprendedor, S.A. de C.V., S.F.P. (CAME) to continue operating as a Sociedad Financiera Popular (SOFIPO), and has initiated the payment process to CAME’s savers. The CNBV Governing Board published in the Official Gazette of the Federation the resolution concluding the administrative revocation procedure, issued the corresponding revocation order, and released a notice to savers referring to CAME as being in liquidation.
