The Argentina Securities Commission has put into effect a compatibility matrix showing which regulated activities may be conducted simultaneously by different categories of agents, crowdfunding platforms, virtual asset service providers, markets and clearinghouses. The matrix identifies applicable compatibility relationships and capital and liquidity requirements without changing the existing requirements, obligations, limits or conditions for each category, supporting the regulator’s broader market simplification and modernization agenda. The measure also allows Central Depository Agents for Negotiable Securities, known as ADCVN, to apply for registration as financial trustees if they meet the requirements for that category. It clarifies the capital and liquidity requirements for entities holding both registrations.
