The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency announced Andrew Moss as Deputy Comptroller for Community and Industry Relations, effective June 2, placing him in charge of the OCC function responsible for community development outreach and related engagement. The position oversees the division formerly known as Community Affairs, with community development professionals in Washington, D.C., and in OCC regions who provide expertise, guidance, and educational resources and organize outreach on community development lending, services, investments, and related issues. Moss will continue to serve as Director of External Relations and Strategic Partnerships, including work supporting financial inclusion initiatives such as the OCC’s Project REACh, and he is currently the OCC’s Acting Chief of Staff. The office was previously led by Deputy Comptroller Barry Wides, who retired in 2025, and was renamed Community and Industry Relations as part of the agency’s reorganization efforts.
