The Central Bank of Russia published its Review of Key Indicators of Insurers for 2025 Q3, highlighting continued growth in corporate voluntary medical insurance (VMI) as an employee benefit, with around one in four employees in Russia covered by a company policy. Employer-paid VMI contributions increased by almost 25% year on year over the first nine months of 2025 to RUB 191.3 billion, while the number of employees insured under corporate VMI rose by 2.9 million to 20 million. Over the same period, total insurance contributions across the market increased by 14.7% to RUB 2.8 trillion, and total insurance payouts rose by almost 75% to RUB 1.8 trillion.
