The Central Bank of Egypt published its July 2025 inflation update, reporting a decline in annual urban headline CPI inflation to 13.9 percent from 14.9 percent in June, while annual core CPI inflation edged up to 11.6 percent from 11.4 percent. On a monthly basis, urban headline CPI inflation was negative 0.5 percent in July 2025, compared with negative 0.1 percent in June 2025 and 0.4 percent in July 2024. Monthly core CPI inflation, computed by the Central Bank of Egypt, was negative 0.3 percent, compared with negative 0.2 percent in June 2025 and negative 0.5 percent in July 2024. The Central Bank of Egypt indicated that the monthly inflation note will be published on August 15, 2025.
