The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) announced a new Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) mapping initiative with Qichacha (QCC), a Chinese business information platform, to create a certified link between the LEI and the QCC Code. Under the arrangement, GLEIF will publish monthly open-source mapping files in CSV format, drawing on QCC’s database of more than 500 million legal entities. GLEIF framed the initiative as supporting the international visibility of Chinese businesses and facilitating trading relationships, regulatory reporting, due diligence, and the LEI’s use as a global data connector.
