The Thailand Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) held the “InsureFluencer: influencers talk insurance” forum under the theme “A good life needs a plan”, using influencer-led storytelling to frame insurance as a practical tool for life planning across age groups as part of its consumer protection and insurance literacy agenda. OIC Secretary-General Chuchart Pramulpol joined six influencers covering retirement planning and elderly insurance rights, health planning including cancer and critical illness, property and fire insurance and pet insurance, accident cover for active lifestyles, insurance for children and inheritance planning, and the use of pension life insurance and investment-linked life insurance for longer-term financial planning, alongside digital-era topics such as cyber insurance and insurance for electric vehicles. The OIC also promoted policy-checking tools including its “OIC Around-Roo” platform on LINE Official Account and the OIC Connect app, and highlighted OIC Gateway as a real-time, API-based insurance data connection intended to link with government applications in line with Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). The OIC said a recording of the event is available via its social media channels.
