The National Bank of Georgia said its President Natia Turnava held an introductory meeting with Թուրքիայի Ambassador to Georgia Mustafa Toker Arı to discuss current economic cooperation between Georgia and Turkey, opportunities to deepen partnership in the financial sector, and prospects for future cooperation. The update was framed as a bilateral discussion rather than a policy announcement. Turnava briefed the ambassador on economic conditions in Georgia, the macroeconomic environment and the National Bank of Georgia’s monetary policy, with emphasis on economic stability and the resilience of the financial sector. The parties also noted that Turkish banks are operating successfully in Georgia’s banking sector, discussed the active cooperation between the National Bank of Georgia and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey on experience-sharing and institutional links, and reviewed potential future projects under that cooperation.
