The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) participated in a new edition of the student “Rueda de capitalización” held at the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange as part of its financial education programme and Junior Achievement Argentina’s “Aprender a Emprender” initiative. Students aged 15 to 18 presented entrepreneurship projects in pitch format and then took part in an investment-fair simulation aimed at raising initial capital. The exercise had students set up stands, engage with adults acting as “investors”, explain their business models, answer questions and symbolically offer shares in their companies. CNV Vice President Sonia Salvatierra attended alongside CNV staff responsible for corporate governance and investor protection, emphasising the goal of preparing new generations to make autonomous, informed and responsible decisions in capital markets, and promoting CNV’s audiovisual financial education series “Vos también podés invertir. Si estás informado, tomás mejores decisiones” available on social media. CNV framed the activity as a strategic, experiential-learning tool that familiarises young participants with financing and decision-making, within a programme that takes students through the full lifecycle of a business from design and production through sales and liquidation.
