The Central Bank of Egypt published remittance data showing a sharp increase in inflows from Egyptians working abroad in the first nine months of 2025. Remittances rose by 45.1% year on year to about USD 30.2 billion in January to September 2025, compared with around USD 20.8 billion over the same period in the previous year. On a monthly basis, September 2025 remittances increased by 30.9% to around USD 3.6 billion, up from USD 2.7 billion in September 2024.

The Central Bank of Egypt reported a 45.1% year-on-year increase in remittances from Egyptians working abroad, totaling approximately USD 30.2 billion for January to September 2025. September 2025 alone saw a 30.9% rise to around USD 3.6 billion compared to the same month in 2024.
