The Central Bank of Egypt reported that remittances from Egyptians working abroad rose 28.4% year on year to about USD 25.6bn in July–January 2025/2026 (from about USD 20.0bn), while January 2026 remittances increased 21.0% to about USD 3.5bn (from about USD 2.9bn in January 2025).

The Central Bank of Egypt announced a 28.4% year-on-year increase in remittances from Egyptians working abroad, reaching approximately USD 25.6 billion from July to January 2025/2026. January 2026 alone saw a 21.0% rise to about USD 3.5 billion.
