The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted a practical seminar, organised with the Eurasian Group Secretariat, to strengthen the preparedness of Tajikistan’s national expert group and financial sector and private sector participants for the Eurasian Group’s third round of mutual evaluation and to review measures to improve the national anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and counter-proliferation financing system. The workshop, held from 27 to 31 October 2025, brought together representatives of state authorities, law enforcement and judicial bodies, supervisory structures, financial institutions and the private sector. Experts from the Eurasian Group Secretariat and member countries including Russia, Belarus and Uzbekistan participated in person and remotely, exchanging experience on regulation, supervision and the application of international AML/CFT/CPF standards. The programme covered the updated Financial Action Task Force recommendations, the evaluation methodology and practical regulatory and supervisory approaches, alongside discussions on strengthening interagency cooperation, risk management and the use of modern technologies.
