The Jordan Securities Commission hosted a specialised workshop at its headquarters for students in the Financial and Administrative Sciences programme (Accounting) at Al-Qadisiyah College, aiming to strengthen links with academia and better align educational outputs with labour market needs. The workshop covered International Financial Reporting Standards and disclosure management, auditing, public shareholding company offerings, and the basic frameworks for anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing. Attended by the head of the Accounting Department, Dr Mohammed Al-Babidy, the session introduced students to the Commission’s supervisory and oversight practices to build practical skills for future accountants, auditors and compliance officers in Jordan’s capital markets.
