The Argentina Securities Commission reported that its board held two meetings with more than 100 market participants, industry associations and major law firms to discuss the public consultation on its Big Bang regulatory package. The core change under consultation is a shift in Argentina's capital markets framework from prior approvals to automatic authorization, with only limited exceptions, in order to make market access faster and reduce administrative and operational steps. The package under consultation covers General Resolutions 1132 to 1137 and includes measures to facilitate the issuance of corporate bonds, shares, financial trusts and mutual funds. It also proposes steps to promote tokenization, broaden the expanded medium-impact and low-impact regimes, and extend the regulatory sandbox. CNV said the meetings were intended to explain the proposals and collect feedback through the formal public consultation channels.
