The Angola Capital Markets Commission has approved the registration of SIGMA, an open-ended special securities investment fund with private subscription, promoted by Prospectum Capital – Sociedade Corretora de Valores Mobiliários, S.A. The approval clears the fund to operate under a strategy that allows investment across a broad range of securities and other financial instruments. Under its investment policy, the fund may hold equities and equity-linked instruments, including convertible bonds, subscription rights and warrants, as well as medium and long-term public and private debt such as treasury bonds, corporate bonds and debentures. It may also invest in short-term public and private debt instruments, including certificates of deposit, deposits, repurchase transactions, commercial paper and Treasury bills, and in units of other investment funds in line with the collective investment undertakings framework. Prospectum Capital - SCVM, S.A. will act as the management company, while BCI – Banco de Comércio e Indústria, S.A. will serve as depositary.
