The Central Bank of Russia said it will issue a 3-ruble silver commemorative coin on 14 July 2026 to mark the 400th anniversary of the founding of Naberezhnye Chelny. The coin will form part of the Cities series and will be legal tender in the Russian Federation, with mandatory acceptance for all types of payments at face value. The proof-quality coin will contain 31.1 grams of fine silver with fineness of 925/1,000, have a diameter of 39.0 mm and a corrugated edge, and will be minted by the Saint Petersburg Mint. Its reverse will depict the coat of arms of Naberezhnye Chelny, the city administration building, a business centre and a KAMAZ vehicle against a city landscape, while total mintage is set at 3,000 pieces.
