The Central Bank of Cyprus has announced a public outreach initiative to gather citizens’ views on savings and investment, feeding into a roundtable event titled “Financial Literacy for Life – European Citizens’ Dialogue” scheduled for 26 March 2026. The roundtable will include the Commissioner for Financial Services and the Savings and Investment Association, Maria Luís Albuquerque, and the Central Bank of Cyprus Governor, Christodoulos Patsalides. To inform the design of targeted financial education actions, Central Bank of Cyprus staff will run a short survey at selected sites across various cities on 24–25 February 2026, collecting only basic demographic data (gender, age group and province of residence) and allowing anonymous participation. The same questionnaire will be available online via a link on the Central Bank of Cyprus website from 24 to 28 February 2026. The roundtable will be livestreamed on the Central Bank of Cyprus YouTube channel on 26 March 2026 from 15:15 to 16:15, with a recording available afterwards.
