Cyprus Finance Minister Makis Keravnos will attend the Eurogroup and the informal meeting of European Union finance ministers and central bank governors in Dublin on Sept. 18 and 19, 2026. Discussions will cover economic policy priorities, euro area productivity and competitiveness, the competitiveness of European banks, financial innovation and the economic effects of artificial intelligence. The banking discussion will assess the sector’s current position and policy priorities ahead of the European Commission’s forthcoming legislative package. Ministers and central bank governors will also consider the future of European financial innovation, while the final session will examine AI’s implications for labor markets, the public sector, energy and the geopolitical environment.
