The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Finance will participate in the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group annual meetings in Bangkok from Oct. 12 to 18. Minister of State for Financial Affairs Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini will lead the delegation, which will focus on global financial stability, development financing and responses to global economic challenges. The delegation will attend meetings involving the Group of 20 finance ministers and central bank governors, the International Monetary and Financial Committee, Middle East and North Africa ministers and governors, and Arab governors. It will also hold bilateral talks with partner countries on financial cooperation and participate in a reception intended to strengthen ties between UAE banks and regional and international counterparts.
