The Financial Superintendency of Colombia (SFC) announced it will recognise supervised entities that have adopted, in advance, its instructions on managing environmental and social risks, including climate-related risks, through an “early adopter” badge. The framework for accessing the badge is set out in Circular Letter 19 of 2026 and builds on the supervisory instructions issued in October 2025. Supervised entities must indicate their interest by 6 April 2026 and, if they meet the requirements, apply for the badge by 31 December 2026 via the channels specified by the SFC. The badge will be complemented by a classification or ranking of entities that join the model quickly.
