The Intergovernmental Action Group Against Money Laundering in West Africa has published an internal and external vacancy notice for eight permanent positions across its offices in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, and Dakar, Senegal. The recruitment covers both operational AML/CFT functions and corporate support roles, with applications closing on 28 February 2026. The advertised posts are information manager, protocol assistant, interpreter for the French booth, administrative and conference officer, human resource assistant, non-financial institutions officer, typologies officer, and research, documentation and publication assistant. The AML/CFT-facing roles include work on communication and advocacy, typologies studies, mutual evaluations, non-financial sector supervision and capacity building, while other roles cover administration, conferences, human resources, language services and documentation support. The notice states that candidates must be nationals of ECOWAS member states and generally be below age 45, although the age limit does not apply to internal candidates. Selection may include a written assessment and a competency-based interview, and appointments are subject to background and reference checks. GIABA also states that positions in the General Service and related categories are subject to local recruitment under the ECOWAS Staff Regulations. For those roles, applicants must be ECOWAS citizens resident in the member state where the post is advertised, and successful candidates would not receive benefits reserved for internationally recruited staff.
