The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority has published its Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan covering October 2025 to September 2027, setting out actions intended to advance reconciliation within APRA and complement its inclusion and diversity strategy. It is APRA’s second Innovate RAP and its third RAP since 2017. The plan focuses on four themes: strengthening attraction, retention and development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees; extending RAP activities across APRA’s five offices and building local cultural connections; expanding opportunities for staff to engage with First Nations people and cultures to build cultural awareness and contribute to reconciliation in the broader community; and further considering APRA’s role in promoting reconciliation within its sphere of influence, including through partnership with other financial regulators in a way aligned with APRA’s mandate.
