The Central Bank of Brunei Darussalam (BDCB) opened the National Financial Literacy Day (NFLD) 2025 Financial Awareness Roadshow for secondary school students, co-organised with the Ministry of Education under the theme “Money Smart, Digitally Safe”. The opening ceremony also marked the launch of Usinwise as the official brand for national financial literacy campaigns under the National Financial Literacy Council (NFLC). The roadshow targets students in Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 across all four districts, with a focus on remote and underserved catchment areas. Activities are structured around a “Financial Maze” of themed booths with hands-on learning covering areas such as consumer protection, digital security, banking, retirement planning, takaful, investment and entrepreneurship, supported by participating public bodies and private-sector partners including banks, insurers, securities firms, the national digital payment network and digital service providers; shortlisted teams from the FIN-novators competition launched in July are also showcasing student-developed tools and games. The event is set to run over two days, while Usinwise is positioned as the NFLC’s campaign identity for delivering public financial education on saving, budgeting, investing, retirement planning and digital safety.
