The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market has approved a draft Cabinet of Ministers resolution to adopt a National Programme for adapting Ukrainian legislation to European Union law (EU acquis). The programme sets out tasks to implement EU legal acts and European Commission screening recommendations, with timelines and assigned responsible bodies. The programme spans 31 negotiation chapters across six negotiation clusters and will be monitored via the “Pulse of Accession” system for tracking Ukraine’s European integration commitments. Alongside its approval of the draft resolution, the Commission provided comments on specific tasks under chapter 6 (Corporate law) and chapter 9 (Financial services), covering plans to introduce new EU-style legal forms for entities and the designation of a lead implementer for the EU regulation on markets in crypto-assets (MiCA). The Commission expects the programme to be approved shortly and intends to update its internal plans for implementing EU acts once it is adopted.
