The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) has welcomed Barzah Capital to its Digital Assets Lab to develop and test a real estate tokenisation model within the QFC’s Digital Assets Framework. The Qatar-based company is building infrastructure to represent property assets as digital tokens, allowing investors to acquire fractional interests in real estate. Barzah Capital will work with the QFC to explore the relevant regulatory pathway and engage with ecosystem partners to refine its infrastructure. The company aims to validate its legal, regulatory and technology model through the lab. Founder and Chairman Mana Ibrahim H. Al-Mana described real estate as the first use case for its planned regulated, Shariah-compliant tokenisation infrastructure, which is being designed to support a broader range of real-world assets over time.
