The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan supported interactive training sessions for financial sector participants on managing cybersecurity risks, delivered jointly with Estonia’s e-Governance Academy (eGA). The programme focused on strengthening sector capabilities and sharing international experience. The sessions covered the cyber threat and risk landscape, the applicable regulatory framework, and requirements on digital operational resilience. Participants discussed modern approaches to cyber risk management, the role of bodies responsible for oversight and coordination, and opportunities for cooperation within the sector and internationally, alongside practical exercises based on real-life scenarios. The Azerbaijan Banks Association and representatives from the financial sector attended, and the training was organised under an European Union-funded international initiative aimed at enhancing cyber resilience in Eastern Partnership countries.
