The UAE Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) announced its participation in the International Week of Action Against Illegal Financial Influencers, a global initiative focused on raising awareness of misleading financial content, unlicensed investment advice and online financial fraud. As part of its contribution, SCA granted accreditation certificates to financial influencers who graduated from the Young Financial Advisers Programme delivered in partnership with the Federal Youth Authority. The authority reported that 171 financial influencers are currently accredited under its licensing and registration framework, with a combined reach of more than 24.6 million followers, and that the number of accredited influencers has increased by over 1,800% since the framework was launched. During the action week, SCA and accredited financial influencers are coordinating awareness messages on financial literacy, responsible investment decision-making and the risks associated with online financial misinformation.
