In remarks at the Türkiye Financial Literacy Day programme, Capital Markets Board of Türkiye Chair Mahmut Sütcü said financial literacy plays an effective role in expanding financial inclusion, deepening capital markets, easing the real sector’s access to capital, supporting lasting financial stability and increasing the country’s savings rate. He framed the event as part of a broader national focus on the issue, noting that a presidential circular signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan a year earlier had designated 22 May as Financial Literacy Day. The speech was delivered at the Dolmabahçe Working Office in a programme attended by Erdoğan.
