The Reserve Bank of Fiji has partnered with The Forge Pacific Pte Limited to deliver a five-month business development programme for 20 micro, small and medium enterprises across Fiji. The programme is intended to strengthen business growth, resilience and investment readiness by building practical capabilities in governance, financial management, compliance, strategic planning and access to finance. The initiative is designed to help create a pipeline of businesses that are better prepared to use both traditional and alternative funding channels, including Fiji's planned first peer-to-peer lending platform. It aligns with the National Financial Inclusion Strategy 2022-2030 and the MSME Strategic Plan 2025-2030, and complements the Access to Business Funding Act 2025. The programme will begin with a business readiness assessment for each participant, followed by coaching, mentoring and workshops across business strategy, operations and governance, financial and investment readiness, market readiness, and leadership and resilience, before concluding with support to present to potential financiers and investors.
