Moroccan Insurance Authority (ACAPS), in partnership with the Moroccan Insurance Federation (FMA), the International Actuarial Association (IAA) and the Moroccan Actuarial Association (AMA), announced a training session on actuarial capacity building for French-speaking Africa, scheduled for 25–26 November 2025 in Casablanca. The initiative targets regulators, insurers, reinsurers and professional associations and is designed to strengthen actuarial tools, risk management and technical governance practices aligned with international standards. Sessions will address the role of the actuarial function in risk-based supervision, sustainability of pension and insurance schemes, and professional requirements around competence, independence and ethics, with a focus on improving the reliability of technical assessments, risk anticipation and policyholder protection, and promoting more standardised approaches to risk calculation and management at a regional level.
