The Montenegro Capital Market Authority has signed a framework partnership agreement with EFPA Luxembourg to create a strategic basis for developing and delivering internationally recognized professional training programs in Montenegro. The arrangement also makes the programs available to neighboring countries through an online platform and positions Montenegro as the first country in the region to establish this form of institutional cooperation with EFPA Luxembourg. The partnership is being implemented through the newly formed EFPA Adria body, with support from EFPA Luxembourg's LI4FE platform for financial education. Under the agreement, the authority will work on developing the EFPA Adria platform, identifying the domestic financial sector's training needs, promoting the programs, organizing final examinations and adapting course content to Montenegro's regulatory and economic framework. The planned training covers investment advice and asset management, financial risk management, regulatory compliance, sustainable finance and ESG standards, financial innovation and fintech, financial analysis and lending, and private banking. A program focused on applying the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation is also expected to be launched in the coming period.
