The Bank of Greece announced that Deputy Governor Christina Papaconstantinou participated in the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C. (21-25 April 2025), including policy discussions and bilateral meetings that also covered preparations for an IMF Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP) mission to Greece in 2025. During the Meetings, Papaconstantinou attended the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) and the Group of 30 International Banking Seminar, and took part in a 24 April roundtable on financial literacy and the implications of a changing geopolitical environment for central banks. On the margins, she met representatives of other central banks to discuss international economic developments and the resilience of the Greek economy, and held discussions with IMF officials ahead of the 2025 FSAP, which will be Greece’s first since 2006.
