Thailand Office of Insurance Commission published an update on a New Year 2026 travel-safety campaign run with the insurance industry under the “Safe Trip Safe Life with Insurance” banner, aimed at raising awareness of travel risks during the holiday period and positioning insurance as a risk-management tool. The campaign is aligned with Thailand’s integrated plan to prevent and reduce road accidents during 2026 festivals and holidays, alongside the promotion of motor insurance. OIC’s package of measures includes 24-hour insurance advice via OIC service channels and coordination with the Road Safety Directing Center during the “seven dangerous days” period from 30 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, as well as an industry blood donation initiative that, in 2025, collected more than 12,682,950 millilitres against a 10 million millilitre target for the Thai Red Cross’ National Blood Centre. OIC also highlighted two 30-day microinsurance products: an accident policy with premiums starting at THB 10 for THB 100,000 accidental death cover, with an option to pay THB 20 for up to THB 250,000, and a home policy priced at THB 10 covering fire damage up to THB 30,000. The policies are available to purchase for three months from 15 December 2025 to 15 March 2026 through participating insurers and programme operators.
