The Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) has launched a consultation on proposed changes to its procedures for handling complaints against investment service providers and responding to securities market inquiries. The proposal would extend the complaints framework to services involving cryptoassets and crowdfunding. The changes would also remove complaint and inquiry forms from the circular to allow more flexible updates. Further revisions would reflect the creation of the CNMV’s Investor Protection, Fraud Prevention and Financial Education Department, introduce gender neutral administrative language and correct outdated regulatory references.
