The Indonesia Financial Services Authority held a series of hybrid public lectures at three universities as part of the Road to Risk and Governance Summit 2026, using the events to promote governance, risk management and integrity among younger audiences in higher education. In the sessions, Audit Board Chair and commissioner Sophia Wattimena linked stronger governance to the growing complexity of global risks and to the scale of the financial services sector under OJK supervision, which totals about IDR 30,000 trillion in assets. The lectures were held at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Yogyakarta on 18 May, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto on 19 May, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta on 22 May, with around 5,000 participants attending in person and online from universities across Yogyakarta, Surakarta and Banyumas. OJK highlighted geopolitical risk, disinformation, cyberattacks, digital disruption and artificial intelligence as reasons to strengthen governance and cyber resilience, and pointed to cross-sector work on anti-fraud strategies, internal controls over financial reporting, independence of supporting professions in the financial services sector, conflict of interest management and information technology security. The events also included outreach on the 2026 Risk and Governance Summit and its Innovation Paper Competition for students.
