The National Bank of Georgia reported that Governor Natia Turnava met BNY Managing Director for Eastern Europe and Eurasia Sergei Kotov to discuss expanding cooperation between BNY and the Georgian financial sector. The discussion covered progress since BNY entered the Georgian market in 2024 and focused in particular on possible cooperation in foreign exchange reserve management, custody services, and liquidity management solutions. The meeting also examined broader collaboration with Bank of Georgia, TBC Bank, BasisBank, Liberty Bank, Terabank, and Halyk Bank Georgia, as well as Georgia’s macroeconomic outlook and financial sector developments. Both sides indicated they would continue cooperation and explore further opportunities to link Georgia’s financial system with global markets.
