Submissions may cover empirical or theoretical work on the banking system, non-bank financial institutions, the external environment and capital flows, macroprudential instruments and monitoring tools, and policy development for financial stability. The programme will include academic presentations and keynote policy discussions, bringing together researchers, central bankers, regulators and other policymakers, and the SARB will cover local return economy airfare and accommodation for speakers and panellists who are not based in Gauteng. Papers are due by 27 February 2026, with full papers preferred but detailed abstracts also considered, and successful authors will be notified by 31 March 2026.
