The Central Bank of Libya said it has received the Ministry of Finance’s June salary disbursement authorizations and transferred them to commercial banks for immediate processing through the Your Salary Instantly system. The update means public sector salary payments are being routed through the bank’s digital platform, which the central bank said has resumed full operation and returned to normal technical capacity, allowing citizens to track payments. According to the latest data, about 1.7 million public sector employees were registered in the project by June, compared with 2.2 million previously, representing a 75% participation rate. The central bank urged sectors that have not yet joined the project to do so, citing easier salary access and stronger safeguards for public funds. It also said it is developing the project further by automating the complaints mechanism and addressing unpaid salary cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance.
