The Hong Kong Monetary Authority released Hong Kong’s latest official foreign currency reserve assets figures, reporting reserves of USD 435.6 billion at the end of January 2026, up from USD 427.9 billion at end-December 2025. No unsettled foreign exchange contracts were recorded at end-January 2026 or end-December 2025. The USD 435.6 billion in reserve assets is stated to represent over five times the currency in circulation, or about 38% of Hong Kong dollar M3. For February 2026, the HKMA also scheduled further Exchange Fund data releases covering the Analytical Accounts of the Exchange Fund on 13 February, and both the SDDS Template on International Reserves and Foreign Currency Liquidity and the Exchange Fund Abridged Balance Sheet and Currency Board Account on 27 February.
