The Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA), in cooperation with the Union of Arab Securities Authorities (UASA), has started a specialised training programme in Doha titled “Fixed-Income: Valuation and Risk”. The three-day course focuses on fixed income instruments, including their characteristics and pricing principles. The programme is practical and uses example securities from various markets to examine the technical aspects of fixed income instruments and interest rate curves. It targets financial services professionals with a basic grasp of fixed income who want to deepen technical skills, including staff in or working with risk departments, product control and development, fixed income sales, and technology business analysis. Course topics include bond markets, bond pricing fundamentals and practical pricing, bond risk metrics, yield curve concepts, building blocks for advanced fixed income, interest rate modelling and risk, and fixed income trading. Participants will receive a certificate of participation issued by QFMA and UASA.
