Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) announced that China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC) has officially launched its DIFC branch, expanding the firm’s presence in the region. The branch, operating under China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited under the trade name CICC (DIFC Branch), holds a Category 4 licence and is regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority. CICC positioned the Dubai branch as part of its international expansion strategy, focused on facilitating cross-border capital flows between China and key global markets and developing tailored solutions for regional clients while supporting Chinese enterprises seeking opportunities abroad. The release also described DIFC’s role as a regional gateway for Chinese financial institutions and multinational firms, noting that major Chinese banking and financial services groups are already present in DIFC, with 30 per cent described as Fortune 500 companies.
