Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Ministry of Creative Economy and Creative Economy Agency (Ekraf) announced stronger cooperation to develop Web3-based digital financial innovation to support the creative economy, including efforts to transform Indonesian intellectual property into a new asset class. The collaboration is being advanced through the Infinity Hackathon OJK–Ekraf 2025 and the Infinity Accelerator 2026. The hackathon generated Web3 solutions focused on financing, transparency, and protection of creative works, while the 2026 accelerator, themed “Unlocking Indonesia's Intellectual Property as a New Asset Class”, is intended to support the creation of verified, digitised, investable intellectual property and to connect blockchain use cases with financial-sector policy to foster a more liquid and credible intellectual property market. The two bodies also emphasised the need for stronger cross-sector coordination in shaping policy related to blockchain technology, crypto assets, and digital financing models for the creative economy.
