The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) has joined other institutions at the National Exhibition of Cultural and Artistic Works in Dar es Salaam, using the event as a platform to deliver insurance education to the public. The exhibition opened on 24 April 2025 and is scheduled to run until 30 April 2025 at the Mnazi Mmoja grounds. During the opening ceremony, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports, Metheusula Ntonda, visited TIRA’s stand and was briefed on its core functions, including registering and licensing insurance service providers, issuing regulations and guidelines for the insurance market, providing public insurance education, protecting insurance customers’ rights, and advising the government on insurance matters. TIRA also invited visitors to its stand to receive insurance education and raise any insurance-related issues for resolution.
