The Dominican Republic's Pensions Superintendency (SIPEN) has awarded Banco LAFISE the “Aquí Sabemos de Pensiones” seal, making it the second bank to receive the recognition for achieving a threshold where 70% of employees have fundamental knowledge of their benefits and responsibilities under the Dominican Pension System. The certification followed two virtual and in-person training sessions in which 87 employees completed the basic online course “Lo que debo saber sobre mi pensión” and attended a workshop delivered by facilitator Zinayda Rodríguez from the Departamento de Renta Variable y Patrimonio Separado. SIPEN framed the seal as part of its mass education plan to expand pension literacy in the national financial sector and encouraged more employers to adopt similar initiatives.
