The Central Bank of Seychelles hosted a two-day cybersecurity training programme for its Board members aimed at strengthening governance-level oversight of cyber resilience and improving preparedness to prevent, detect and respond to cyber threats. All six Board members attended alongside staff from Risk Management, Internal Audit, Technical Services and the Board Secretariat. The training was facilitated by Brad Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of Proficio, and covered the global, regional and local cyber threat landscape, evolving attack methods used by fraudsters and the growing influence of artificial intelligence, supported by an interactive table-top exercise. The programme was used to assess the Bank’s current cyber resilience, identify gaps and explore options to strengthen risk mitigation strategies, and forms part of a broader effort to build Board capability on key oversight topics.
