The alert identifies CapricornXPro as operating through capricornxpro.net and located in the United Kingdom, with other names used including CapricornX.net and Trade.CapricornXPro.net. Complainants reported receiving an email from a company called Quantum before being directed to invest on the CapricornXPro crypto trading platform. The Commission noted the warning does not apply to other businesses with the same or similar name, and pointed investors to the National Registration Search tool and its guidance on avoiding fraud involving crypto asset trading platforms. Similar investor alerts were also issued by the Manitoba Securities Commission and Quebec's Autorité des marchés financiers.
