The State Bank of Vietnam held the opening ceremony for a training programme for its department-level (and equivalent) leadership talent pool, launching what it described as the first structured course implemented at large scale to develop a pipeline of successor leaders. Governor Nguyen Thi Hong delivered keynote remarks at the event. The Personnel Department designed the programme as a practical, highly interactive course with 120 participants nominated from across State Bank of Vietnam units, including current department-level leaders and officials in the department-level succession plan. The programme was framed as supporting leadership capacity for policy advice and implementation amid new operational demands, including digital transformation, with support from state-owned and commercial banks: VietinBank co-organised the course, while Vietcombank, BIDV, Agribank and MB were recognised for providing technology staff and digital transformation training support under existing comprehensive cooperation agreements.
